Uses:

1. Mainly used for synthesizing polyester fibers, resins, films, polyester paints and engineering plastics, etc.

2. Dimethyl terephthalate is mainly used to make polyester resins, and then to make films and fibers, as well as high-strength polyester insulating paints. Polyester films are mainly used as electrical insulating materials and for making films (such as base materials for movie films, X-ray films, photographic films, and audio tapes, video tapes, and computer tapes). The most common use of polyester resins is to make fibers for fabrics, fishing nets, carpets, tire cords, etc. It can also be used to produce plasticizer dioctyl terephthalate.
